In all the sectors where we deliver Conflict Management training, ICSE work with the organisations involved, tailoring the course to meet their specific needs. We have delivered training solutions to staff who deal with antisocial groups on light rail systems and employees required to enter holds on foreign vessels up to 200 miles out to sea. We have trained with people who work with psychiatric patients and people who work in prisons. We have worked alongside drug rehabilitation councillors and staff in road tax departments. We work with employees and give them the language, body language, non-verbal skills and some “tricks of the trade” which are vital to successfully resolve an aggressive situation. ICSE Conflict Management courses are delivered through a mixture of role play and scenarios. This ensures the quick and easy transfer of techniques to your workplace. Trainees learn how to control an aggressive situation using words and body language. We will give them the skills to identify when a situation is becoming violent and threatening, and what action to take. We explore the law and the importance of the environment; we also look at stressors and how to deal with aggressive groups and aggressive couples. Most importantly, we look at the past situations in your workplace and explore different ways of dealing with the situations workers face on a regular basis. Every sector, every workplace is unique. All workplaces have individual components that assist and detract from workplace conflict and violence. All workplaces therefore require individual solutions which take into account these positive and negative aspects. We design and develop each programme for each specific workplace. Our most common programmes are listed below.
